Thanksgiving is a holiday widely spread globally. People generally celebrate the holiday by eating dinner with family, saying blessings, and more. Some events that have grown in popularity is the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, NFL football, and Black Friday. Many people also donate to the poor. In the older days, many people fasted and traditionally said their blessings to their God, specifically for the blessings of harvest season. Some other people thank the pilgrims for colonizing America, and the mutual friendship with the Native Americans.
